H.A.M. (Helping Adolescents at the Marsden) is a fundraising group of local families who are raisng money for teens and young adults with cancer.

This came about as two teenagers within the same group of friends were both diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Both of them mentioned that while undergoing treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey they became very bored with hospital life as there was not much there for teenagers to do.

H.A.M have been raising money since 2004 and have supplied numerous items to the hospital to help young people 'escape' from the hospital environment.

The Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Royal Marsden hospital Sutton was opened by Duke & Duchess of Cambridge in November 2011. H.A.M. raised sufficient funds to pay half the cost of the new Chill-out Zone there. In March 2011 HAM handed over a cheque for £160,000 to the TCT. H.A.M is continuing to raise funds to help the TCT and The Royal Marsden Hospital.
